	A simple, dated voucher proves authenticity. It says the architect has given the builder permission to request a permit review. This prevents multiple building, illegal copying, resale, and theft.

	Checkpoint will not guarantee every builder will get a building permit. There are too many factors to be considered. That's the job of the Building Official and the Architectural Review Board. However, the question of whether or not the plans submitted are illegal copies is easily proven through Checkpoint's unique copyright protection system. Instead of marking the drawings with red stamps or official seals, Checkpoint makes copyright protection a separate entity. Drawings sold through the Checkpoint system have one simple rule: "Dated Receipt Required. Void After 30 Days From Date On Receipt". This prevents multiple building or re-sale of used plans. The Building Supply Store's receipt will show the number of plans purchased, so now the buyer has the option of purchasing one or two plans to study, or eight sets with an intent to build. If there are any doubts about the receipt presented, the Building Supply Store keeps records of all sales. No more underpaid architects. No legal threats. No hassles.

Only someone with the intent to build applies for a building permit.
A builder must purchase eight sets of drawings to prove his intent. The sales voucher and store records will verify this fact.
Illegal copies of drawings made by a copy machine will not replace the proof of the sale, no matter how many blueprints are submitted.

The date of the actual drawing is unimportant since the builder has 30 days from the date of sale to apply for a permit.
The date of the sale is presented on the voucher.
This prevents building multiple structures without purchasing additional plans.

If there is any doubt concerning the voucher, the building supply store can verify sales records. It's that easy, and much nicer than a legal investigation.
